Profile
Prishita Gupta
Born on 11th June 2011 in Delhi, India, Prishita Gupta began her chess journey at a remarkably young age and has since risen to become one of India’s most celebrated young chess prodigies. A student of Bal Bharati Public School, Gangaram Marg, Delhi, she carries the spirit of a champion both in and out of the classroom.
She earned the prestigious Women International Master (WIM) title — becoming the 42nd WIM of India — at just 15 years of age. She held the World No. 1 ranking in the FIDE Under-15 Girls category from August 2025 to January 2026. Her first national appearance was at the U-7 Girls Chess Championship in 2018 in Tumkur, Karnataka, and she has never looked back since.
In 2025, Prishita secured her WIM Title in France and Serbia, won Gold at the Commonwealth Chess Championship (U-16) in Kuala Lumpur and Gold at the Asian Youth Chess Championship (U-16 Rapid) in Bangkok — cementing her as one of India’s brightest chess stars.
Prishita trains at the elite Braingames Chess Academy, Chola Chess Academy and Chess Thulir Academy under world-class grandmasters. She represents Delhi and India on every stage she graces.
